Lucky day

I've had three unique experiences today.  Firstly my husband at long last agreed that I could buy a canoe and that he would get a roofrack to transport it, secondly I tried my new Christmas roller blades and didn't break my neck, and last but best of all, a long eared owl spent an hour in the big magnolia outside my window calling for its Valentine.  Excellent!

I'm an expert canoeist Stuart.  I don't mean kayaks, but real open Canadian-type canoes which is what I'm after buying.  I've canoed on rivers, lakes and oceans in calm and in storm - tho admittedly that wasn't by choice.  I've even got a susstifficate for it. <sticks nose in air>

I always fancied myself as a Voyageur except that I can't sing many songs in French, but my franglais is quite sufficient for the job  :O))

Living in a rural area certainly has it's advantages, and these experiences don't cost a dime!  :-)
